Research Areas
In my research, I take an interdisciplinary approach towards understanding equity and engagement dynamics in hazard, disaster, and international development planning. Specifically, this involves focusing on three core areas of academic inquiry:
Exploring the assessment, impacts, and theoretical perspectives surrounding equity and engagement activities.
Understanding the roles specific actors play in implementing equity and engagement activities.
Addressing the effects of equity and engagement activities on vulnerable and marginalized groups.
In addition, I regularly participate in research focused on addressing emerging themes and topics in hazard, disaster, and international development planning.
